For a moment that stretches, it seems like she's not going to answer. And then she does, but quiet.

"I need to feel safe. Secure. I don't want to fall asleep unless someone's watching my back right now, because I know she--they know where I live. I honestly don't expect them to come for a round two, they let me go, but the rational brain and the rest aren't talking right now."

"I'll watch your back." Felix offers almost immediately, as soon as she's done talking. "If they do come for a second round, they're going to have to come through me."

He says 'they' like he didn't hear Ducky slip up though he definitely did. His voice is just a little less soft on the second half of that.

"Good." She genuinely does relax a little bit, hearing that, even if she's not sure Felix could do anything in the face of Trilla's Sith powers. "Thank you, that really does mean a lot tome, Felix."

Felix nods and it's sort of matter-of-fact. He does appreciate her appreciation but really it's almost a given to him, the fact of him watching her back. Like he was going to do anything else.

"Are you planning to go to bed now or do you need anything before you do?"

"Yes, I think I'm going to go to bed now. I may sleep in, tomorrow, if you don't mind. It's...been a very exciting day."

By which she really means she's absolutely wrecked, and she needs to do a complete reset. Or maybe cry.

"Of course I don't mind."

It isn't like Ducky works for him and it isn't like he can't take care of himself if she takes a day off. Of course, he knows she knows that and he knows she takes pride in taking care of the apartment so he doesn't say any of that. But he still thinks it.

"I can stay in your room with you tonight or I can just set up outside your door." On the matter of watching her back while she sleeps. He's taking that pretty literally and if she didn't mean it that way she's going to have to tell him. "Which one works better for you?"

“Outside the door, please.”

She is glad for the offer, for him taking her fear seriously and actually guarding her. For him asking what she needs and giving it to her.

(Sometimes, he is the best Dominant around.)
